Infant/Toddler Program

Our infant program is a haven of safe and nurturing learning. With 6 infants and two teachers our program allows the children time explore at their own pace. It allows us to follow each individual child’s daily rhythms and needs. In the spirit of Magda Gerber’s philosophy of educaring, teachers create a playful, loving environment where each child is given both individual attention and opportunities for independent discovery. Parents and teachers together learn to handle a child’s transition with great care and focus on attachement, parent, home and then shared attachment. Infants and toddlers also explore the outdoors through daily buggy rides in the neighborhood, playing in our yard or walks in the courtyard.

Our Infant yard, especially designed for the young ones to explore a clean and safe outdoor area.

Preschool Program

The Preschool Program is alive with children and teachers side by side, learning together from age 2-5 years. The teachers create an amiable environment, where children are at ease to learn. Our 2 year olds are immersed in self help skills, potty training and learning to move together in a large group with the teachers as their guides. Our three year olds are busy working through developmental levels of self control, super hero/princess play, language, social emotional and prewriting/reading skills. The 4-5 year olds work on projects such as, building space ships, creating solar systems, sea creatures habitat, and/or building a train. They are creating story plays, writing books, and manuvering through friendships, relationships and age appropriate development. The children are encouraged to express themselves through a wide varity of mediums.. We also offer an outdoor classroom where children after 3pm become grouped in mixed age. The children are engage in large motor play, gardening, recycling and each day offers ample time for children to explore the outdoors experiencing the bay area weather.
